Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer for a manufacturing environment in Little Rock, AR. The role focuses on developing and programming PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo and motion-control systems to modernize equipment and processes.

You will design electrical schematics, control panels, and custom automation solutions, troubleshoot and optimize systems, and lead upgrades across multiple projects while collaborating with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to boost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in Automation Controls Engineering in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing PLC programs for Allen-Bradley, Siemens or comparable platforms.
• Strong background in PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, motion control, networking, and electrical controls.
• Experience using AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Develop and program PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and motion control systems.
• Design electrical schematics, control panels, and automation solutions.
• Troubleshoot and optimize automation, electrical, and control systems.
• Lead controls upgrades, modernization efforts, and automation projects.
• Commission new equipment and support startup activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, operations, and production teams to boost efficiency.
• Support capital projects, facility improvements, and new product introductions.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, safety, and reliability while reducing costs.
• Design, build, and implement innovative automation solutions for manufacturing operations.
• Support metal stamping, roll forming, assembly, & plastic injection molding processes.
