Job summary

United Petfood is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer for our Decatur, AR facility. You will design, program, and support plant-wide automation, instrumentation, and electrical controls to optimize manufacturing processes.

The role requires hands-on PLC/HMI experience, Troubleshooting, and collaboration with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering teams to improve reliability and performance. This on-site position offers a competitive salary and opportunities for growth in a growing global

Qualifications

Experience programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial PLC-based control systems in manufacturing.
Familiarity with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs and RSLogix 5000 or Studio 5000.
Experience with HMI/SCADA systems and industrial networks (EtherNet/IP).
Strong problem solving, documentation, and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Design, program, modify, and maintain PLC-based automation for production facilities.
Develop and maintain HMI/SCADA applications and graphical interfaces.
Configure and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley controllers and AOIs; support I/O networks and instrumentation.
Document control systems, backups, and technical procedures; support upgrades and rollouts.
Collaborate with Maintenance, Production, Engineering and vendors on projects.
