Job summary

JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Controls Engineering Intern for May–August 2027 to support design, build, and deployment of custom automated equipment.

As part of a cross-functional project team, you will learn from dedicated engineers, perform basic programming, and contribute to routine technical tasks under supervision. This paid, full-time internship offers hands-on experience in automation engineering.

Qualifications

• High School graduate, or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited college program pursuing an engineering degree.

The working term for this position will be from May 2027 through August 2027.

Location: Onsite at our Nashville, TN facility.

Internship Type: Full-Time, Paid.

As a Controls Engineering Intern, you will assist and support other Controls Engineers. Learn from some of the most dedicated and technically competent engineers in the Automation Industry. JR Automation drives change by learning and innovating faster than anyone else. As a member of a project team, you’ll work alongside our Applications, Controls, Mechanical, and Build teams to support the design, build, program, and deploy ment of custom automated equipment.

What You’ll Do

• Requires a willingness to learn and the ability to be flexible.


• Expected that many tasks asked will be learning experiences, and experienced team members will provide proper instruction.


• Expected to make positive contributions to the company in response to the training provided.


• Performs routine technical work which does not require previous experience.


• Learn and perform basic programming skills.

What You’ll Bring
