Job summary

Warehouse Services, Inc. seeks a Controls & Electrical/Mechatronics Engineer to own hardware integration, machine controls, and mechatronic implementations across automation projects in live warehouse environments.

You will design electrical systems, program PLCs/HMI, and troubleshoot across EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and Modbus. Travel to sites for deployment and commissioning is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechatronics or related field.
• 2+ years hands-on automation experience.
• Experience with machine safeguarding concepts (E-Stops, safety PLCs).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.
• Willingness to travel for site deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and document electrical systems for automation equipment.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs.
• Configure sensors, drives, networks, and motion systems.
• Lead mechanical integration of end-effectors, fixtures, and guards.
• Coordinate with OEMs and system integrators during installation.
• Commission systems in live warehouse environments and perform testing.
• Provide field support and root-cause analysis for downtime reduction.
