Job summary

CML Security in Colorado is seeking a Controls Engineer I to implement, test, and support custom electronic security systems across diverse sites.

You will develop HMI screens in SCADA, program PLC logic, create operation sequences, and assist during installation and commissioning. A Bachelor’s degree in EE/CS or equivalent, 2 years VB Script/C++, Java, SCADA/HMI experience, and OSHA-10 are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of programming experience (VB Script, C++, Java).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience designing SCADA/HMI platforms including PLC programming, troubleshooting and implementing systems.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• OSHA-10 certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom HMI screens in SCADA for security systems and tailor to customer requirements.
• Program functions for each system per customer specifications.
• Create PLC ladder logic from IO lists.
• Interface with hardware/software systems to deliver seamless HMI solutions.
• Configure access control systems and support on-site installation and commissioning.
• Create test sheets and O&M manuals, both electronic and hard copy.
• Review project budgets and schedules.
• Perform general office duties and occasional after-hours work as needed.
