Job summary
Insight Global is seeking a Controls Engineer to support an industrial sales and service distributor client in Gallatin, TN or Greenwood, IN. You will program, commission, startup, test and troubleshoot industrial automation systems with a strong emphasis on Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs.
You will work closely with installation, engineering, operations, maintenance, and customer teams through commissioning, startup, and handoff to operations, maintaining documentation and backups along the way.
Qualifications
- Hands-on controls engineering experience in manufacturing environments.
- PLC programming experience from scratch with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley.
- Experience commissioning, debugging, and startup of automated equipment.
- Experience with capital projects or new system development.
- familiarity with NFPA 79, NEC, UL508A and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Program, commission, start up, test and troubleshoot automation systems.
- Support new equipment installations and production line startups.
- Perform I/O checkout, functional testing, and PLC/HMI validation.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, drives, networks, and safety circuits.
- Maintain controls documentation and backups; support handoff to operations.
