Confidential Employer in Oregon, WI is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, program, integrate, and commission industrial automation systems on-site. You will work closely with fellow engineers to deliver practical automation solutions across Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs, Ignition, FactoryTalk, and AVEVA/Wonderware.

The role requires 3+ years of controls automation experience, hands-on panel design, and a willingness to travel 20–30% for commissioning and support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in controls engineering, industrial automation, or systems integration.
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming, SCADA/HMI programming, or control panel design.
• Familiarity with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs, Ignition, FactoryTalk, or AVEVA/Wonderware is highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% to 30% for project commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, integrate, and commission industrial automation systems with the team.
• Design, develop, and program industrial control systems using PLC platforms, primarily Rockwell/Allen-Bradley.
• Create and enhance HMI/SCADA applications using Ignition, FactoryTalk, and AVEVA/Wonderware.
• Develop electrical control designs and support industrial control panel integration.
• Work on automation projects from initial concept and design through testing, installation, and startup.
• Integrate industrial data systems and communication networks to improve operational visibility.
• Perform FAT/SAT, troubleshoot system issues, and optimize equipment performance.
• Collaborate directly with customers and engineering teams to deliver reliable, practical automation solutions.
• Travel to customer facilities as needed for commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical support.
