The role focuses on troubleshooting equipment issues, commissioning, and maintaining controls documentation while partnering with operations, maintenance, engineering, suppliers, and integrators to improve uptime and safety. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent controls/automation experience.
• 5+ years in industrial controls, machine automation, or reliability.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, networks, servo systems, and electrical schematics.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for production controls, automation systems, robotics, cobots, CNC machine-tending equipment, and related manufacturing systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, servo, robot, cobot, network, and machine-control issues to reduce downtime and restore production quickly.
• Support equipment startups, commissioning, production ramp-up, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Modify and maintain PLC logic, HMI screens, Fanuc robot and cobot programs, electrical schematics, control narratives, backup files, and system manuals.
• Work with suppliers, automation equipment integrators, vendors, maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to resolve controls issues and implement approved improvements.
• Assist with the selection, replacement, and standardization of controls hardware, sensors, drives, and automation components.
• Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance, production, and engineering personnel on controls systems, troubleshooting practices, and safe equipment operation.
• Support safety, quality, uptime, throughput, OSHA compliance, machine guarding, and safe equipment operation.
