Job summary

Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager onsite in Mayodan, NC. You will lead, mentor, and develop Manufacturing Engineers while driving process optimization,Lean initiatives, and capital projects.

You will coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, EHS, and Supply Chain to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. You will oversee tooling, fixtures, CNC programming, inspection methods, and automation initiatives, ensuring standardization and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading engineering personnel and cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience implementing process improvements and Lean practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Manufacturing Engineers and set departmental goals aligned with plant strategy.
• Oversee design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes and systems.
• Drive lean manufacturing, waste reduction, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Direct tooling, fixtures, gauges, dies, and equipment projects and vendor coordination.
• Lead cross‑functional project management and capital projects.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance and maintain documentation.
