Ruger is seeking a hands-on Controls Engineer to support production controls, automation systems, robotics, and CNC machine-tending applications.

This role will troubleshoot equipment issues, support startups and commissioning, maintain controls documentation, and partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, suppliers, and automation integrators to improve uptime, safety, reliability, and manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in industrial controls, automation, or reliability.
• Strong PLC/HMI, networks, servo, and machine-control knowledge.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a hands-on environment.

Responsabilités

• Provide hands-on support for production controls, automation systems, robotics, cobots, CNC machine-tending equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, servo, robot, cobot, network, and machine-control issues.
• Support startups, commissioning, ramp-up, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Modify and maintain PLC logic, HMI screens, robot/cobot programs, electrical schematics, and system manuals.
• Collaborate with suppliers/integrators and teams to resolve controls issues and implement improvements.
