Top Echelon Software, LLC. is seeking a Controls Engineer to design and deploy machine control systems near the Oneida, NY area. The role requires hands-on PLC/SCADA work, AutoCAD design, and travel to multiple local facilities.

Qualifications

AAS or BS in Engineering.
5+ years of experience in controls/electrical engineering.
Experience with PLCs, HMIs and AutoCAD.
Familiarity with National Electrical Code and machine safety standards.

Responsibilities

Design and develop machine control systems using AutoCAD, including sizing and selection of VFDs, motors, filters, protection devices, PLCs, and HMIs.
Program, modify, and troubleshoot Allen‑Bradley PLCs and ladder logic systems; support Siemens controls.
Lead installation, integration, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment across multiple sites (≈30% travel).
Provide hands-on electrical and controls troubleshooting support to maintenance teams, including diagnostics and real-time issue resolution.
