Job summary
SpecSys is seeking a Controls Engineer to design and program control systems for mobile equipment, including schematics, BOMs, and user manuals. You will collaborate with engineers, manufacturing, and project managers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and safe operation.
The role requires 4+ years in controls and electrical design, proficiency in PLC programming, CAD, and knowledge of CAN/J1939 and SAE J1939.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 4+ years of controls and electrical experience.
- Experience with mobile equipment electrical design.
- Proficiency in PLC programming.
- Knowledge of electrical schematics and control systems.
Responsibilities
- Verify design meets performance specifications.
- Develop and update project timelines and reviews.
- Develop system concepts to meet project function.
- Perform engineering calculations to verify design requirements.
- Provide technical data to client, designers, and drafters.
- Develop electronic control systems to meet customer specs.
- Provide programming for controls including PLCs and HMI.
- Prepare system operation documents for the customer.
- Create and review BOMs for completeness.
