Job summary

SpecSys is seeking a Controls Engineer to design and program control systems for mobile equipment. You will select electrical components, develop control loops, schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and user manuals.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project management to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. You will bring experience in electrical design for mobile equipment, PLC programming, and HMI development, with a focus on safety, quality, and customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of controls and electrical experience preferred.
• Combination of education and experience may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Verify design meets performance and configuration specs.
• Develop and update project timelines and reviews.
• Create system concepts to meet project function.
• Perform engineering calculations for design requirements.
• Provide technical data to clients, designers and drafters.
• Develop electronic control systems to meet specs.
• Provide programming for PLCs and HMI/GUI components.
• Prepare system schematics for AC/DC circuits and harnesses.
• Create BOMs and assist with component sourcing.
• Support integration with mechanical engineering and manufacturing.
