Job summary

Thermo Systems LLC in Reston, VA is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to lead hardware and software design on control system projects, provide installation support, and drive FATs.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, a BS in EE/Mech/CS, strong troubleshooting, and knowledge of HMI/PLC. Up to 50% travel may be required as projects evolve. We offer a competitive compensation package with bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with relevant technical experience.
• Typically 2+ years total experience.
• Proven Track Record: 1-3 years as Control System Engineer or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Displays electrical and mechanical system troubleshooting skills.
• Lead and perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Read and interpret piping & instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams.
• Exhibit understanding of HMI and PLC applications.
• Lead individual project tasks and/or small to mid-sized projects.
• Provide instrumentation specifications for basic control systems.
