Job summary
Generac Power Systems, Inc. in Fort Collins, Colorado, is seeking a Controls Engineer to lead the development, integration and startup of automation projects on industrial equipment.
You will design control systems, program PLC and HMI, troubleshoot, and mentor engineers while ensuring projects meet specifications, budgets and schedules.
Rockwell RSLogix/Studio 5000 and Drives programming experience is required; some travel may be needed to support commissioning and field installations.
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering with 3 years of industrial controls programming experience.
- Hands-on PLC/HMI and drives programming with Rockwell RSLogix/Studio 5000 and FTV View.
- Strong understanding of automation in 24x7 shop floors.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, development and startup of control system projects.
- Program PLC/HMI, troubleshoot and commission equipment.
- Provide mentoring, training and process improvements.
- Prepare statements of work, status reports and budgets.
- Ensure adherence to company standards and methodologies.
