Job summary
Trane Technologies in King of Prussia, PA is seeking a Controls Engineering Specialist II to design hardware and software for building automation systems and lead control solution development for various projects.
You will review documentation, create installation drawings, and contribute to the field transition, with guidance for BAS technicians as needed.
Ideal candidates bring HVAC systems knowledge, drafting experience, and IT/network awareness to drive successful project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field, or 3+ years HVAC project management/estimation experience.
- Experience with HVAC systems, building automation, and temperature controls.
Responsibilities
- Design building controls using direct digital controls for various building types.
- Review contract documents, proposals, plans, and specifications for automation design.
- Create installation, submittal, and as-built drawings; develop operation manuals and field transition.
- Develop advanced sequences of operations to meet project requirements.
- Estimate project costs and assist BAS Technicians with wiring, programming, commissioning, and startup.
