Job summary

E2i is a Wisconsin-based systems integrator specializing in automation, validation, informatics, and control panel design. The role centers on designing, implementing, and supporting PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for pharmaceutical manufacturing clients, with emphasis on process controls and electrical hardware.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in electrical or related engineering and 3–5 years of experience in process controls or automation engineering.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in process controls or automation engineering.
  • Experience with PLC/HMI/DCS/SCADA software and Rockwell, iFix, DeltaV, PlantPAx, PCS7, Siemens, or Wonderware is a plus.
  • Ability to support MES and read P&ID diagrams.
  • On-call availability as needed.

  • Build strong relationships with customers.
  • Design, implement, and support PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for control systems and equipment.
  • Design, implement, and support electrical hardware systems.
  • Understand manufacturing processes and process instrumentation.
  • Investigate and solve complex problems.
  • Demonstrate solid rapport with clients, peers, and supervisors.
  • Address on-call requests as needed.
  • Be a self-starter able to work independently and in teams.
  • Maintain 80% minimum billable with leadership and sales support.

Snapshot of Position
  • Provide automation support and troubleshooting for formulation areas. Assist in the implementation of change controls for process improvements and bug fixes as needed
Location
  • Primary Location: Kenosha, WI, at our pharmaceutical client, with the possibility to support clients at other locations

Your Role's Responsibilities

What You Need for this Position
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering field
  • 3-5 years of experience in process controls engineering or automation engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in programming/developing/configuring PLC, HMI, DCS, and SCADA software for control systems (experience with Rockwell, FactoryTalk View SE/ME; iFix, DeltaV, PlantPAx, PCS7, Siemens, or Wonderware is a plus)
  • Ability to support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Ability to read piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
  • Ability to address on-call requests as needed
