Job summary

E2i is a small systems integrator providing automation, validation, informatics, control panel design, and fabrication for 36 years. We seek an automation engineer to support formulation processes for a pharmaceutical client in Kenosha, WI, with potential travel to other sites.

The role involves designing, implementing, and supporting PLC, HMI, and SCADA software, plus electrical hardware, while understanding manufacturing processes and instrumentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in process controls or automation engineering.
  • Experience programming/configuring PLC, HMI, DCS, and SCADA software; familiarity with Rockwell, FactoryTalk View SE/ME; iFix, DeltaV, PlantPAx, PCS7, Siemens, Wonderware is a plus.

  • Builds relationships with customers.
  • Designs, implements, and supports PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for control systems and equipment.
  • Designs and supports electrical hardware systems.
  • Understands manufacturing processes and instrumentation.
  • Investigates and solves complex problems.
  • Maintains solid rapport with clients, peers, and supervisors.
  • Addresses on-call requests as needed.
  • Remains a self-starter able to work independently and in teams.
  • Keeps 80% billable with leadership and sales assistance.

Snapshot of Position
  • Provide automation support and troubleshooting for formulation areas. Assist in the implementation of change controls for process improvements and bug fixes as needed
Location
  • Primary Location: Kenosha, WI, at our pharmaceutical client, with the possibility to support clients at other locations

Your Role's Responsibilities

  • Remaining a minimum of 80% billable with leadership and sales assistance
What You Need for this Position
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering field
  • 3-5 years of experience in process controls engineering or automation engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in programming/developing/configuring PLC, HMI, DCS, and SCADA software for control systems (experience with Rockwell, FactoryTalk View SE/ME; iFix, DeltaV, PlantPAx, PCS7, Siemens, or Wonderware is a plus)
  • Ability to support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Ability to read piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
  • Ability to address on-call requests as needed
