Schreiber Foods in Carthage, Missouri, seeks a Controls Engineer to improve productivity, quality and capacity in an automated food-manufacturing environment. This on-site role focuses on control systems optimization, maintenance automation training, and capital projects execution.

The position may be filled at Engineer/Senior level based on experience, with relocation assistance and an ESOP benefit package. Collaboration with plant operations and safety teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years in electrical and controls engineering in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Deep knowledge of Ignition SCADA Vision/Perspective.
• Strong skills in control system programming and electrical design.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and automation docs.
• Effective communication and cross‑functional teamwork.
• Willingness to support operations outside typical hours.

Responsibilities

• Execute electrical, instrumentation, and controls projects to meet cost/schedule/performance goals.
• Coach maintenance staff on electrical automation topics.
• Oversee performance of electrical/engineering contractors.
• Improve production efficiency and uptime via controls optimization.
• Monitor plant control systems, network health, and obsolescence.
• Develop SCADA/HMI/MES data solutions and dashboards for performance gains.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety/Quality plans and SOPs.
