Job summary

Ready Foods, a Denver-based manufacturer, is seeking a hands-on Controls Engineer to enhance automation across our facilities. You\'ll handle PLC/SCADA programming, electrical controls, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You\'ll partner with Engineering, Maintenance and Operations to install, commission and optimize equipment, read schematics, and improve reliability. Experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley and Ignition is valued, as is knowledge of Industry 4.0

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics or controls engineering or related field.
Hands-on PLC and HMI programming experience.
Strong knowledge of electrical controls and automation.
Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot issues.
Experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Ignition, and industrial networks.
Experience with PID loops, VFDs, sensors, 4-20 mA signals and temp/pressure/flow control.

Responsibilities

Program, troubleshoot and optimize PLC and HMI systems.
Diagnose electrical, controls, instrumentation and automation issues.
Support industrial networks, drives, sensors and related control systems.
Partner with Maintenance and Operations to identify root causes of recurring equipment issues.
Support installation, commissioning and startup of new equipment and automation systems.
Maintain electrical drawings, programs, backups and controls documentation.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and automate manual processes.
Support manufacturing technology, data and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
Help strengthen controls and troubleshooting capabilities across the organization.
