Job summary

Shearer’s Foods, LLC is seeking a Controls and Automation Engineer to maintain and upgrade the networked control systems across facilities. You will troubleshoot PLC and HMI platforms, lead cross-functional safety and quality initiatives, and mentor maintenance staff to raise overall capabilities.

The role demands strong Rockwell software skills, familiarity with Auto-Cad, and a solid electrical/automation background in a food manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

Minimum of associate's degree in technical field including Electrical Engineering.
Five years of industrial automation engineering experience.
Food /Beverage Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot controls and automation equipment, including PLC and HMI systems.
Provide technical guidance to maintenance and engineering teams.
Develop standards and upgrades to improve cycle times and reduce downtime.
Ensure safety and quality compliance per GMPs.
Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical prints.
Assist in training maintenance personnel on control systems.
