Job summary
Engtal is seeking a Controls Engineer for its northern Indiana engineering team. The role centers on PLC programming, HMI development, electrical design, and integration of custom automated equipment for industrial food processing and packaging applications.
The engineer will own control programs, electrical schematics, and adaptation of machine platforms to customer requirements, collaborating with a hands-on team throughout the development process.
Qualifications
- Hands-on PLC programming in industrial automation contexts.
- Solid knowledge of Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC systems and PanelView HMIs.
- Experience designing electrical schematics and control panels.
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for custom machinery.
- Create PanelView HMI applications for automated equipment.
- Develop electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD.
- Support integration of PLCs, HMIs, and electrical components on new equipment.
- Ensure safety requirements and customer specifications are met.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and machine builders through development.
