Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Controls Engineer to bring concept designs to life on the shop floor from our Saginaw, Michigan facility. You will design, program, and commission PLC-based control systems and HMIs, while integrating robotics and machine vision across custom turnkey automation projects for manufacturers.

Join a growing automation team focused on complete automation solutions, from concept through customer startup, with occasional travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical discipline.
  • Experience programming PLCs, preferably Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation platforms.
  • Experience with HMI development and industrial automation systems.
  • Familiarity with robotics, machine vision, and motion control systems is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and project coordination abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced custom automation environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT).
  • Travel occasionally to customer sites for installation and startup support.

Position Overview:

Are you a Controls Engineer who enjoys seeing your designs come to life on the shop floor? Do you want to work on custom automation projects from concept through commissioning rather than being limited to a small piece of the process?

We are a growing industrial automation company that designs and builds custom turnkey automation systems for manufacturers across a variety of industries. We engineer, build, debug, and ship complete automation solutions from our Saginaw, Michigan facility, including robotic assembly systems, material handling equipment, testing systems, vision inspection applications, and lean manufacturing solutions.

We are seeking a Controls Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the development of innovative automation systems from initial design through customer startup.

Responsibilities
  • Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems
