Sustainable Talent is partnering with a global automaker to staff a new battery pack assembly plant in Jeffersonville, IN. This Controls Engineering Specialist role starts remote and transitions to on-site work, with varied shifts and strong emphasis on controls design and automation.

You will drive best practices across PLCs, robotics, vision, and conveyors, collaborating with IT, Manufacturing Engineering, and production teams to meet safety, quality, and production goals.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• 3+ years of controls engineering in automated manufacturing.
• 3+ years networking and communication protocols experience.
• 3+ years PLC programming experience (Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley).
• Ability and willingness to work off-shift schedules.

Responsibilities

• Launch and run a new battery pack plant, driving controls best practices.
• Develop and troubleshoot automation programs, PLCs and HMI screens.
• Coordinate with IT and engineering teams on control interfaces.
• Review drawings, validate software specs and coordinate OEM training.
• Support installation, commissioning and start-up activities.
