Job summary

Sustainable Talent is staffing a greenfield battery pack assembly plant in Jeffersonville, Indiana, for a leading global automotive manufacturer. As Area Manufacturing Manager you will lead a battery pack assembly area, build people, processes and culture to meet performance goals, applying Lean principles, MES and real-time data to improve operations.

You will collaborate with other Area Managers, develop leaders, and represent the plant during launch while transitioning from remote initially

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing, engineering or operations leadership experience.
• Track record of attracting, developing and retaining high-performing teams.
• Ability to communicate complex operational concepts to all levels.
• Strong business acumen and financial literacy including understanding of P&L.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver KPIs aligned with department and business objectives.
• Lead continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing efforts, set and achieve standards.
• Use MES and real-time data to identify bottlenecks and implement fixes.
• Serve as SME on plant SOPs and partner with Area Managers for plant-wide rollout.
• Lead and align diverse teams; remove barriers and build skills.
• Spend time on production floor applying Gemba principles to solve problems.
• Build a culture aligned with vision, mission and values; emphasize learning and performance.
• Develop leaders through coaching and training.
• Represent the plant during launch and coordinate with support resources.
