Job summary

Sustainable Talent is partnering with a global auto manufacturer to staff a new battery pack assembly plant in Jeffersonville, IN. The role starts remote and transitions to onsite work, focusing on process engineering and continuous improvement to safety, quality and productivity.

You will apply engineering principles, lead audits, drive Lean initiatives and support ISO/compliance efforts in a growing site. A Bachelor's in Engineering and 2+ years of related experience are required.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Ability and willingness to work off-shift schedules.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing process engineering for battery pack assembly.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and productivity; identify throughput constraints and lead root-cause improvements.
• Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to set up and improve processes and products.
• Build action plans to investigate and prioritize quality concerns, and verify corrective actions.
• Lead process audits to maintain process discipline per standards.
• Conduct ergonomic evaluations and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze root causes of inventory discrepancies and help reduce inventory levels.
• Develop process and instruction sheets supporting quality methods.
• Deliver capable processes and tools for battery pack assembly operations.
• Lead resolution of assembly concerns, including Lean practices.
• Ensure compliance with plant, corporate, government and environmental standards; support ISO audits.
