Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to own the controls systems on the manufacturing floor—from architecture and PLC/HMI development through commissioning and sustainment. You will build and harden the OT/IT automation infrastructure, set the standard for secure and reliable controls, and present your work in cross-functional design reviews and cybersecurity buy-offs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, IT, or related field.
• 6+ years of controls and automation experience in a production environment.
• Strong PLC programming on Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens platforms.
• Ignition SCADA development, including gateway modules (Tag Historian, Alarm Notification, SQL, OPC UA, MQTT Engine/Distributor/Transmission).
• Proficiency across OT stack — MQTT, OPC UA, TCP/IP, industrial Ethernet, VLANs, switching, routing.
• OT cybersecurity knowledge including air-gapped networks, network segmentation, server hardening, secure remote access.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Owns controls systems on the manufacturing floor from architecture to commissioning and sustainment.
• Designs secure and reliable OT/IT automation infrastructure and participates in cross-functional design reviews.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including production stakeholders, on the production floor.
