Job description

Our client is a growing manufacturing company in the Greater Wausau/Weston Wisconsin area is seeking a Controls Engineer to support and enhance automated production systems. This role will focus on troubleshooting, programming, and improving controls systems across highly automated manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and support PLC-controlled automated manufacturing equipment
• Modify and develop PLC and HMI programs to improve system performance and reliability
• Support machine vision systems and automated inspection technologies
• Work with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve electrical and controls issues
• Assist with system upgrades, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain and troubleshoot industrial networking and communication systems

Required Technical Skills

Candidates must be proficient with the following:

• HMIs: FactoryTalk and Wonderware
• Industrial Networks: Ethernet / SCADA systems

Ideal Background
