A growing organization is enhancing its operational capabilities and seeking a technically driven professional eager to contribute to the next generation of manufacturing and production processes. This is an opportunity to work across automation, robotics, equipment integration, and plant floor performance improvement while joining a team that values curiosity, ownership, and continuous learning. For someone who wants more than a narrow maintenance or support role, this position offers meaningful technical variety, strong visibility, and the chance to influence how automation is standardized and scaled across multiple operations.

This Role Offers
  • Competitive base compensation with flexibility for the right level of experience
  • Excellent opportunities for professional advancement within a growing technical and operations-focused environment.
  • Exposure to PLC controls, robotics, machine vision, motion systems, and cross functional integration work
  • A collaborative, on site environment with leadership that values development, initiative, and technical growth
  • Travel that is meaningful and project based, without a constant road warrior schedule
Focus
  • Support the optimization and performance of automated systems through the design and refinement of control and operator interface technologies.
  • Lead startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization efforts tied to new automation initiatives
  • Help establish practical controls standards, code structures, alarm strategies, and documentation practices that support scalable operations
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and external integrators to deliver reliable and maintainable automation solutions
  • Contribute to the integration of robotics, vision systems, motion control, and connected plant floor technologies
  • Participate in design reviews, risk reduction activities, testing, and implementation planning for new equipment and process upgrades
  • Contribute to successful project delivery through cross-functional collaboration, proactive coordination, and effective communication across teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, performance, safety, and repeatability across manufacturing environments
Skill Set
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Background in controls engineering, PLC programming, automation, or industrial equipment support within a manufacturing setting
  • Experience with industrial networks, machine integration, and plant floor troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with high-speed manufacturing, automated systems, or complex production machinery
  • Exposure to robotics, motion control, machine vision, or SCADA tools is helpful but not required
  • Ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
  • Strong problem solving skills, sound judgment, and a practical approach to engineering challenges
  • A growth mindset, coachability, and real enthusiasm for learning new automation technologies
  • This is an onsite role with some flexibility, but it is not intended for fully remote candidates
  • Travel is expected up to approximately 25 percent, primarily for installation support, commissioning, and plant collaboration
  • Candidates from packaging, food and beverage, consumer products, automotive, aerospace, material handling, and other manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply
  • The hiring team is especially interested in engineers who combine solid controls fundamentals with initiative, adaptability, and the desire to broaden their capabilities over time
