Job summary

Daikin Applied, the world’s largest HVAC company, is seeking a Controls DVT Engineer for Plymouth, MN, offering hybrid work. You will plan, develop, and execute test strategies for Daikin Controls products, delivering high quality HVAC solutions and providing automated testing expertise across performance and environmental requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering and 5+ years in testing, with experience in Agile/Azure DevOps, and knowledge of C/C++/C# coding concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience preferably in software or hardware testing.
• Working knowledge of Agile development practices and Azure DevOps.
• Working experience with software test tools and processes, building and testing frameworks, and consumer-facing applications and APIs.
• Excellent English communication skills advanced both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Create test plans, and procedures to evaluate the software performance and operation.
• Build software testing programs that automate testing processes.
• Run the software testing procedures to evaluate the software.
• Document all testing procedures.
• Report bugs and make recommendations to improve the software product.
• Collaborate with test engineers, software programmers, and other team members.
• Retest software after bugs are fixed to ensure the program works properly.
• Attend meetings with the development team, clients and other groups.
