Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a Controls DVT Engineer in Plymouth, MN for hybrid work. You will plan, develop, and execute test cases and strategies for Daikin Controls products to ensure high quality HVAC solutions.

You will provide automated testing expertise, build testing programs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in software or hardware testing.
• Working knowledge of Agile development practices and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with software test tools, processes, frameworks, APIs.
• Excellent English communication, written and spoken.
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Create test plans, and procedures to evaluate the software performance and operation.
• Build software testing programs that automate testing processes.
• Run the software testing procedures to evaluate the software.
• Document all testing procedures.
• Report bugs and make recommendations to improve the software product.
• Collaborate with test engineers, software programmers, and other team members.
• Retest software after bugs are fixed to ensure the program works properly.
• Attend meetings with the development team, clients and other groups.

Your Responsibilities

• Create test plans, and procedures to evaluate the software performance and operation
• Build software testing programs that automate testing processes

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer or electrical engineering or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience preferably in software or hardware testing
• Working knowledge of Agile development practices and Azure DevOps
• Working experience with software test tools and processes, building and testing frameworks, and consumer-facing applications and APIs
• Excellent English communication skills advanced both written and spoken
• Good communication, planning and organization/control skills; strong analytic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Your Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Model based testing with Simulink
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-loop and Model-in-the-loop testing
• Good understanding of coding on C/C++ and C# programming language
• Working knowledge in analysis, design, and programming
• Working experience of scripting and configuration tools
• Experience working with international teams

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $74,200 - $124,300 in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
