Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Engineer / Controls Design in Holland, MI. The role focuses on developing electrical schematics, control panel layouts, BOMs, and comprehensive documentation for custom automation and material handling systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet performance, safety, and quality standards, interpret customer specifications, and contribute to design reviews to improve efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience designing electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical (or similar CAD tools).
Strong understanding of electrical systems in automated material handling.
Ability to read and interpret pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams and integrate them into overall designs.
Solid grasp of automation components and their application in material handling.

Responsibilities

Design detailed electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD tools for custom automation and material handling systems.
Develop control panel layouts, BOMs, and complete system documentation to support manufacturing and installation.
Create I/O lists, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and interconnect diagrams to define system operation and interfaces.
Collaborate with mechanical, project management, and applications engineering teams to define system requirements.
