Job summary

Ambient is seeking a Controls Design Engineer to deliver high-quality building automation and energy management solutions. The role involves technical leadership, design development, and coordination with project teams to meet contract documents and specifications.

The position requires a BS in Engineering and at least 3 years of building automation experience, plus proficiency with Visio and AutoCAD. Some travel to job sites may be required within DMG territory.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems.
• Ability to read/interpret electrical circuit diagrams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Technical execution lead in implementation of building automation and energy management solutions across various vertical markets.
• Engineering designs based on plans and specifications, maintaining RFIs, and driving design acceptance.
• Develop submittals including network architecture, mechanical layouts, control wiring schematics, BAS panel layouts, BOMs, sequences of operations, and required mechanical schedules.
• Take-off engineered plans during preconstruction to estimate controls design for RFPs.
