Design Engineer

Location: Pleasanton, CA

Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000

What You Will Do:
  • Own the controls design by taking BAS projects from initial drawings and sequences through submittals and closeout.
  • Put the system together on paperby selecting the right controls and peripherals and make sure everything aligns with the project specs.
  • Turn field changes into a finished design;capture what actually happened in the field and produce accurate As-Builts.
  • Wrap up the detailsby pulling together O&M documentation so projects close out cleanly.
  • Look for smarter ways to do things!Partner with PMs and Engineers to identify value-engineering and energy-efficiency opportunities.
  • Stay connected to the project teamby keeping everyone in the loop on progress, changes, and anything that needs attention.
What We're Looking For:
  • 2-5 years of hands-on BAS experience, with a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree a strong plus.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude and thorough understanding of controls systems, sequence of operations, RFI's. BOM, submittals, etc.
  • Complex facility design experience (i.e. hi-rise, data center, hospitals, etc.)
  • Ability to read construction blueprints and electrical schematics with confidence.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, and MS Office, with basic TCP/IP and networking knowledge desired.
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and willing to take full ownership of assigned work.
  • Valid California driver's license and willingness to make occasional job site visits.
