Job summary

Geek+ is seeking a Controls & Deployment Engineer to own both the technical controls work and end-to-end deployment of our robotic systems at customer sites. You will lead onsite planning, integrate with the master project plan, and configure PLCs for AMR deployments, coordinating with PMs, service teams, vendors, and customers to ensure successful go-lives.

This role requires hands-on automation experience, strong field judgment, and the drive to see complex robotic systems perform.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with industrial controls in warehouse/manufacturing environments.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot control systems and field devices.
• Strong project coordination across client operations and site contractors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite implementation planning including scope, budget, schedule, and subcontracting; align with the master project plan.
• Coordinate timelines with internal/external stakeholders, especially supply chain for delivery.
• Perform hardware inspections, QC checks, and pre-deployment testing to resolve issues before go-live.
• Configure and troubleshoot PLC systems (AB Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal) for AMR deployments.
• Support safety control systems and safety device integration across projects.
• Provide remote controls support across multiple active sites.
