Job summary

CMC is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to drive robotics projects across multiple manufacturing facilities. You will provide remote support, maintain automation hardware, and back up control systems while contributing to upgrades and new equipment deployments.

With a strong background in PLC programming and SCADA/HMI, you will lead field-device integration and support large capital automation initiatives.

Qualifications

10+ years of PLC programming experience with Allen-Bradley, ControlLogix, and PLC-5.
10+ years in SCADA/HMI systems such as WonderWare, PanelView, and Ignition.
Experience specifying, installing, configuring and scaling field devices (motors, RTDs, load cells, transmitters).

Responsibilities

Develop, manage, and implement robotics projects across manufacturing facilities.
Provide remote assistance and troubleshooting for two facilities.
Maintain remote troubleshooting hardware and software and create backups.
Provide field assistance in periodic automation changes and tune-ups.
Complete automation projects involving upgrades and new equipment.
Serve as Automation lead on large capital projects.
