Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services in Saint Petersburg, FL seeks a maintenance technician to perform a wide range of electrical and control system work, install and validate equipment and execute preventive maintenance to ensure safe, compliant operations. You will troubleshoot drives, PLCs and VFDs, source parts, document activities and collaborate with Engineering, QA and Safety on improvements.

Shift is Monday–Friday 7:15 AM–2:30 PM, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years progressive maintenance and leadership experience.
Experience with FDA regulations in relation to Facilities, Maintenance and Equipment repair.
Experience in plastic injection and/or medical device manufacturing preferred.
Experience in managing projects.
Experience with automation systems.

Responsibilities

Identify problems by reading schematics and perform repairs to ensure safe operation.
Troubleshoot and repair drives, PLCs, VFDs, and control systems.
Perform preventive maintenance on drives and control systems.
Recommend and implement improvements to plant equipment and processes.
Train team members regarding controls and upgrades.
Perform installation, replacement or decommissioning of equipment.
