Job summary

LeoForce in the United States is seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee the accounting function across multiple locations, deliver accurate GAAP reporting, and provide strong financial insight to senior leadership. The role combines day-to-day accounting with strategic partnership to optimize margins and cash flow in a high-volume retail environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in retail, distribution, consumer products, or inventory-driven environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with inventory accounting and cost of goods sold.
• Strong month-end and year-end close experience.
• Experience leading and developing an accounting team.
• Advanced Excel and ERP/accounting system experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to partner effectively with operational and executive leadership.
• CPA or CMA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, reconciliations, fixed assets, and financial reporting
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Oversee accounting across multiple retail locations or business units
• Manage inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, purchasing, and vendor activity
• Partner with operations to analyze margins, expenses, inventory, and overall financial performance
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Lead annual audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes
• Improve financial reporting and provide actionable insights to leadership
• Manage, mentor, and develop accounting team members
• Support ERP, POS, and financial system improvements
• Ensure compliance with applicable reporting and regulatory requirements
