Job summary

Strategic Information Group (SIG) is hiring a Controller to lead accounting across five entities in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland and India. You will manage intercompany, FX, and consolidated reporting, and drive month-end close with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate has a CPA license and 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with strong GAAP knowledge, multi‑currency experience, and hands-on ERP expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active or CPA license or equivalent.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with people leadership.
• Strong ownership of month-end close and financial reporting.
• GAAP expertise with emphasis on ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Hands-on experience with mid-market ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills and executive-ready reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting operations across five entities in US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, and India, including intercompany, FX, and consolidation reporting.
• Lead month-end close with focus on accuracy, timeliness, and process improvement.
• Oversee annual audit, general ledger, treasury, AR and billing, and AP.
• Own revenue recognition across T&M, fixed fee, and recurring managed services.
• Coordinate statutory filings, indirect tax, and transfer pricing with external advisors.
• Lead and develop an accounting team across onsite, remote, and offshore members.
• Deliver monthly reporting package with financial statements and variance commentary.
• Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Strengthen systems and controls as the business scales.

Who We Need

SIG is looking for a Controller to lead its accounting function as the business enters a period of real growth. This person will own accounting operations across five entities in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, and India, and lead a team that spans onsite and remote and offshore members. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, including multi‑currency and multi‑jurisdiction experience, and enjoys building processes from the ground up. They will be comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership in a private equity‑backed environment and managing a distributed team across time zones. What You’ll Do

• Own accounting operations across five entities in the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, and India, including intercompany, FX, and consolidated reporting
• Lead the month‑end close with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and continuous process improvement
• Oversee the annual audit, general ledger, treasury, accounts receivable and billing, and accounts payable
• Own revenue recognition across time and materials, fixed fee, and recurring managed services engagements
• Coordinate statutory filings, indirect tax (sales tax, VAT, GST), and transfer pricing with external advisors
• Lead, develop, and support an accounting team spanning onsite, remote, and offshore members
• Deliver the monthly reporting package, including financial statements, presentation materials, and variance‑focused commentary for company leadership and Pine Services Group
• Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
• Strengthen systems (MS Business Central), controls, and reporting as the business scales

What We’re Looking For

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Active or recently active CPA license, or equivalent
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people leadership
• Demonstrated ownership of month‑end close and financial reporting
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, with particular emphasis on ASC 606 revenue and cost recognition standards
• Hands‑on experience with mid‑market ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to produce clear, executive‑ready reporting
• Exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to deadlines
• A genuine desire to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility

Nice‑to‑Have

• Experience in a private equity‑backed or public organization
• MS Business Central experience
• Background in professional services, consulting, or technology services
• Power BI and AI in Accounting experience
