Who’s the business

Zanda is partnering with a high growth SaaS business based in Atlanta. The client is a fast-growing B2B SaaS company that specializes in providing cutting-edge solutions to their clients, leading to increased efficiencies through data analytics.

They are looking to appoint a Controller to identify and build scalable finance processes, whilst managing the statutory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial policies, processes, and related financial and operational systems
• Ensure quality over financial transactions
• Oversee and develop the accounting staff
• Management accounting of churn and other exciting SAAS metrics
• Maximize use of systems and ensure processes are efficient and controlled to minimize errors
• Oversee the company's financial reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial results to management
• Prepare ad hoc financial analysis to support and inform corporate financial decisions
• Partner with peers and other department heads to provide financial guidance and decision making support
• Work with lenders on debt compliance and day to day communications
• Prepare and manage budgets and a rolling financial forecast including a cash forecast
• Coordinate annual audit
• Tax coordination with external preparers

Qualifications

• CPA Qualification
• Someone who has been part of significant scale-up
• Competence with financial software and technology (Ideally Netsuite)
• Understanding of financial and accounting standards and regulations, strong balance sheet understanding
• Organizational and time management skills
• Leadership skills and the ability to work well as part of a team and motivate a sizeable accounting function
• Experience in process improvement and implementation
