Job summary

Ingenium Talent seeks a hands-on Controller to manage all accounting and financial operations for a Jeffersontown, KY manufacturing facility. This is the only accounting role on-site, offering full ownership of the function and close collaboration with plant leadership.

Responsibilities include month-end close, AP/AR, payroll, cash management, inventory accounting, and monthly financial statements with KPIs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accountant in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting (AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations, financial reporting).
• Experience with cost accounting, inventory, and production-related financial processes desired.

• Execute the entire month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, variance reports, and plant performance metrics.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with controls and company policies.
• Handle inventory accounting, cost analysis, and production-related financial reporting.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve accuracy, and strengthen financial controls.
• Partner with plant management to provide financial insights and operational support.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly capable, hands‑on Controller to manage all accounting and financial operations for our client, a small but growing manufacturing company located in Jeffersontown, KY. This position is the only accounting role on-site, making it ideal for someone who enjoys full ownership of the accounting function and working closely with plant leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the sole accountant for the facility, managing AP, AR, payroll, cash management, and daily accounting activity
• Execute the entire month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, variance reports, and plant performance metrics

• Experience with cost accounting, inventory, and production-related financial processes preferred
• Proficiency with accounting systems (QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar) and strong Excel skills
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to independently manage all accounting responsibilities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively with operations and leadership
