Job summary

CFS is seeking a Plant Controller for a rapidly growing manufacturing facility in Wisconsin. You will lead plant accounting, manage month-end close, and partner with operations to improve cost efficiency and performance.

This high-visibility role reports to senior finance leadership and offers direct interaction with executives to drive profitability, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Publicly traded experience would be nice to see.

Responsibilities

• Lead all plant accounting and financial reporting activities, including month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• Partner with operations leadership to analyze manufacturing costs, labor efficiency, inventory, and plant performance metrics.
• Develop and maintain annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Ensure accurate inventory accounting, cycle count programs, and physical inventory processes.
• Monitor standard costs and support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational decision-making.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance staff within the facility.
