Job description

LHH is seeking a Controller on behalf of one of our clients, a rapidly growing industrial services organization with nationwide operations. This company supports large-scale, labor-intensive projects and is expanding its corporate presence in the Dallas area. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in job costing, ERP systems, financial process optimization, and leadership within high-volume environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on Controller who thrives in an operationally integrated, fast‑paced setting and enjoys building teams, improving processes, and partnering closely with field operations.

This position pays 160K-170K+Bonus.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee all general ledger activities and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
Support executive leadership in maintaining financial compliance, visibility, and strong internal controls.
Implement and manage robust job costing processes with a focus on labor‑intensive operations.
Identify process inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and enhance financial and operational data visibility.
Directly manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
Improve communication and data flow between field operations and office teams to ensure accurate reporting.
Lead and mentor a team of 8–10 accounting professionals; promote collaboration and professional development.
Manage a high‑volume workload while balancing strategic initiatives with day‑to‑day operational needs.
Oversee and optimize ERP system utilization (experience with Acumatica is a plus), acting as a systems expert.
Assist in building out and supporting the company’s expanding Dallas office.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior Controller‑level responsibility.
Background in labor‑intensive industries such as construction, industrial services, or similar.
Strong expertise in job costing and cost visibility.
Proven success in high‑volume financial environments.
Extensive experience working with and optimizing ERP systems.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop accounting teams.
Strong communication skills, especially in coordinating field‑to‑office interactions.
Master’s degree and/or CPA credential is a plus.
