Job summary

Bolt Graphics, a Sunnyvale, California-based semiconductor startup, is seeking a Controller to lead all accounting operations, monthly closes, financial reporting, and equity compensation accounting. You will build scalable processes, manage the team, and ensure GAAP compliance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on stock option accounting (ASC 718, 409A valuations), advanced QuickBooks skills, and prior controllership experience in a growth environment; CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior controllership experience in startups or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Advanced QuickBooks experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
• Maintain accurate books and records in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flows).
• Oversee accounts payable and general ledger activities.
• Administer stock option and equity compensation records (ASC 718).
• Coordinate audits, tax filings, and internal controls.
