Professional Search by Kingsley Gate is seeking a hands-on Controller for a technology-driven financial services client. You will own the full accounting function, including reporting, cash management, payroll, monthly close, and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates bring US GAAP expertise, QuickBooks experience, and a track record of leading accounting in small tech or services firms. CPA preferred; base salary ~180k with bonus potential; US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Experience managing accounting operations in a small tech, software, or services company.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and payroll, cash management, and monthly close.

Responsabilités

• Manage all day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, bank reconciliations, cash management, payroll, and monthly close.
• Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks and deliver timely financial statements to the CEO.
• Oversee sales tax filings, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness.
• Manage accounting for software development cost capitalization, deferred revenue, accruals, and one-time adjustments.
• Reconcile results against budget, identify variances, and provide reporting.
• Establish accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with external tax and audit advisors and support due diligence.
