Job summary

The Staff Pad in Hamilton, TX partners with a leading healthcare organization to recruit an experienced Controller for the Business Office. You will manage the accounting department and provide accurate financial information to leadership, the Board, and key stakeholders.

You will oversee monthly reporting, audits, budgets, payroll, and disbursement operations while maintaining data integrity and internal controls in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • 5+ years of accounting management experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reports, monthly statements, annual audits, and budgets.
  • Oversee disbursement operations ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, expense reports, payroll processing, cash controls, and payroll tax compliance.
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls to ensure data integrity, process accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide the CFO with accurate, timely financial information and support as requested.
  • Lead special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive financial information.
  • Build positive relationships with hospital staff, customers, and the public.
  • Handle external customer communications as needed.
  • Recommend accounting process improvements, policies, and procedures to the CFO.
  • Follow all Healthcare System safety policies and guidelines.

What You’ll Do

What We Are Looking For
