Glocap Search in New York, NY, is seeking a Controller to lead the firm's accounting and financial reporting function, overseeing monthly close, investment- and trading-related accounting, PM P&L, and partner allocations. The role partners with senior leadership to professionalize and scale the finance and operations infrastructure.

Competenze

• CPA strongly preferred; candidate should have a strong accounting foundation.
• Experience with proprietary trading, multi-manager investing, hedge funds, or similar environments.
• Experience with PM P&L and compensation structures preferred.
• Experience overseeing external auditors/administrators and outsourced accounting work.
• Strong technology orientation and desire to automate processes.
• Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset in a small organization.

Mansioni

• Oversee accounting and financial reporting across the firm's proprietary trading activities, investment entities, and related structures.
• Own the monthly close process and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee Portfolio Manager P&L, compensation allocations, payouts, deferrals, and holdbacks.
• Manage accounting and reporting related to the firm's partners and investment entities.
• Review work performed by third-party administrators, auditors, and other outsourced providers.
• Strengthen accounting processes, controls, systems, and reporting infrastructure.
• Support trading and investment accounting, including securities positions, P&L, cash, financing, and related balance sheet activity.
• Partner with senior leadership, Portfolio Managers, investment professionals on accounting, operations and financial matters.
• Oversee and provide guidance to junior accounting support responsible for AP/AR, data feeds, and other accounting and operational functions.
• Identify opportunities to leverage technology, automate processes, and improve efficiency.
• Support the firm's continued evolution toward a more institutional investment management structure and potential future hedge fund platform.
• Take on increasing operational and strategic responsibility as the organization evolves.
