Summary: This position is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, processing, and recording financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with established accounting policies and procedures.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Mathematics or related. Extensive relative experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Minimum Work Experience: Three to five years’ experience in comparable position.

Required Licenses/Certifications: Valid Alabama driver license and auto insurance minimum liability 100/300.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Excellent organization, communication, and math skills. Proficiency in integrated financial software, online financial transactions, automated double entry accounting systems, sub-ledger preparation & reconciliation; basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles; web-based timekeeping, systems, and direct deposit. Ability to demonstrate cultural and socioeconomic proficiency. Understanding of trauma informed care, a plus. Experience presenting to boards, trustees, or shareholders a plus.

Required Internal Certification/Trainings: Bi-annual TB skin test/medical report.

List any physical requirements: Good eyesight, good eye-hand coordination. Ability to lift 25-pound boxes. Minimal travel.
