Atlantic Group is seeking a Controller (Accounting) in New Castle County, DE. This senior role leads accounting policy, controllership, and internal controls in a complex corporate setting, guiding executive leadership on technical accounting and reporting matters.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years of accounting experience, CPA, and strong leadership capabilities, with a focus on US GAAP, SEC reporting, and external reporting. Hybrid work arrangement is available in New Castle County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; MBA preferred.
• Active CPA certification is required; strong GAAP knowledge.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including policy, technical accounting or external reporting; 5+ years leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting and policy activities involving complex transactions, revenue recognition, leases, valuations, impairments, derivatives, foreign currency, and business combinations.
• Lead and develop business controllers with accounting guidance and oversight across key functions.
• Research and interpret US GAAP and SEC requirements; oversee implementation of new standards.
• Oversee financial reporting controls, identify control issues, and coordinate remediation with internal/external audits.
• Provide executive advisory on policies, significant transactions, and complex accounting conclusions.
