Job summary

Mackie Myers, a fast-growing beauty and personal care company, seeks a hands-on Controller to lead the month-end close, GL, and financial reporting for direct-to-consumer, marketplace, wholesale, and major national retail channels. Qualifications

• Eight or more years of progressive accounting experience at Controller/Assistant Controller level.
• Strong month-end close, GL, financial reporting, and operational accounting experience.
• Meaningful NetSuite experience, including process improvement.
• Experience in beauty, personal care, or inventory-based consumer business.
• Experience in fast-paced, private-equity-backed or venture-backed environments.
• Public accounting and audit experience; Big Four preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• CPA strongly preferred.

• Oversee GL accounting, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash application, deductions, and channel reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate accounting across e-commerce, wholesale, marketplace, and retail partners.
• Oversee inventory, cost of goods sold, revenue recognition, and balance sheet accounts.
• Lead improvements to NetSuite, including workflows, integrations, reporting, and data quality.
• Develop scalable accounting policies, processes, and internal controls.
• Coordinate the annual audit and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and commercial teams.
• Support other accounting and finance activities as business needs evolve.

A fast-growing beauty and personal care company is seeking a hands-on Controller to join its four-person Finance and Accounting team. This person will own the month-end close and general ledger while overseeing accounts receivable and accounts payable across direct-to-consumer, marketplace, wholesale, and major national retail channels.

The Controller will also strengthen internal controls, improve NetSuite and related accounting processes, and help build a scalable finance function within a fast-paced, investor-backed environment.

What You Will Do

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Oversee general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash application, deductions, and channel reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate accounting across e-commerce, wholesale, marketplace, and retail partners.

What You Bring
